UNISON collaborated with Maternity Action on a new report on maternity discrimination that was launched at Women’s Conference 2026. The shocking findings reveal that 1 in 5 women had no workplace health and safety risk assessment during pregnancy, despite this being a legal requirement, and 22% of women were mistreated as a result of their pregnancy.
