The NJC pay offer for 2023 of a £1,925 increase on all pay points (pro rata’d for part-time and term time only workers) from 1 April
has been accepted by the trade union side, and will now be implemented. A joint circular has been sent to local authorities asking them to implement the pay award as quickly as possible. Branches are asked to work with local authorities and other employers to ensure members receive the pay increase and backpay as soon as possible.
The circular also contains advice on the potential impact of the backpay on Universal Credit.
